Luxury hotel, culinary destination - The Global Ambassador

On December 6th, 2023, the much anticipated Global Ambassador hotel in Phoenix, AZ opened up its door to the public! I had followed the hotel's Instagram account for a while and was happy to hear that the Sales Manager would be able to take me on a site tour of the property and make a reservation for us for dinner.

As the hotel is developed by well-known restaurateur Sam Fox, the Global Ambassador will also serve as a culinary destination for its guests and the local community.

From Parisian steakhouse, to Mexican and Peruvian food at the pool and Mediterranean fare on the rooftop, this luxury hotel will tickle all of your taste buds!

Service at Le Âme was excellent. Our waiter John was very attentive, but not overbearing. The steak frites had the right amount of flavor and dare I say (as a Belgian) that the fries were also on point. Order the creamy ice cream or refreshing sorbet to finish off your foodie feast.

So what about the rest of the property? This is not another massive Arizona resort with a lazy river and golf course, but the 141-room hotel has a moody elegance and a European flair. Rooms are beautifully decorated, including textured wallpaper that you just want to hug. Some of the rooms have a terrace with views on the peak of famous Camelback mountain.

The fancy candles at the spa smelled wonderful and the entire area was elegant and understated. Next time, I will need to book a room and enjoy a relaxing facial :) At the time of writing, the health club was still under construction, but it looks like it will have amazing workout machines and will have room for yoga or pilates.

While the pool is not super large, there are 3 private cabanas with a TV that can be rented and plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The pool has a stylish bar area in case you fancy a Phoenix 75 cocktail.

Overall, the hotel has a nice cohesive design and feels homey. The Lobby Bar feels more like a nicely appointed living room where you can hang out with your colleagues or friends. I have no doubt that this luxury hotel will become a popular gathering place for both locals, as well as international travelers.
