Luxury All-Inclusive Cruising in Tahiti

Updated: Dec 15, 2023

Ia ora na! Have you ever heard of the award-winning Paul Gauguin cruise? I like to call it the "floating water bungalow" way of traveling French Polynesia! Here is a description of my personal experience.

Not having to worry about food and drink prices, gratuities, unpacking/repacking and going to an airport to visit another island, was pure bliss. This was truly the way to see the different islands of French Polynesia and stay completely relaxed and stress-free. Morning breakfast out on the deck with the gorgeous views of one of the islands (each island has its own beauty and characteristics), the soft breeze and stellar service of the Paul Gauguin crew was the best way to start another day in paradise.

Our excursions were all exciting and educational and well organized. My biggest thrill was to swim with lemon sharks in Bora Bora; an experience I will never forget. Another memorable day was to have a BBQ on a private motu in the lagoon of Taha'a, which is only accessible to Paul Gauguin cruise passengers. A floating bar, kayaking, snorkeling, lounge chairs, music, swaying palm trees and a spectacular shallow blue lagoon made this a day to never forget.

The entertainment on board kept us on our toes most evenings, but the highlight of every evening was of course the delectable food (so many courses, so many options!) that was served to us in an elegant, but not pretentious, setting and we had good laughs and lots of wine each evening.

What really sets this cruise apart is its crew and small size. We were really treated like family and at the end of our vacation we just didn't want to disembark. Some tears were shed, but memories were made that will last a life time. I cannot recommend this journey enough to all clients who are looking for an elegant, all-inclusive cruise that takes you around some of the most stunning scenery on the planet.

The people of French Polynesia are warm and have a natural ability to make you feel welcome and cared for. This, in combination, with the bluest of lagoons and greenest of mountain peaks, will provide you with a vacation experience that you and your loved ones will cherish forever.
