Exploring Hawaii by Cruise Ship

Have you ever considered taking a cruise to visit the Hawaiian Islands? If you are like me, I honestly never thought about it. I got around just fine on foot, by rental car, excursion boat, and nter-island flight when I visited Hawaii a few years (sheesh, it's really time to go back!).

However, taking a cruise that visits 4 Hawaiian Islands, is really something different. Most people who visit the paradise of Hawaii will visit Oahu (Waikiki Beach) and perhaps Maui Island. And yet, there are so many more opportunities for exploring! A cruise will let you dabble into more destinations with the convenience of not having to unpack and repack your suitcase each time. It's just such nice feeling to be able to board the ship, hang up all your vacation clothes (including the much needed tropical shirt!) and not worry about them anymore. Traveling by inter-island plane is still pretty easy to do (travel time between the islands is really short), yet you do have to go to an airport, get screened, wait to board and when you land, do some this in reverse.

I think the 7-day round trip Honolulu itinerary of Norwegian Cruise Lines is definitely a great one. I am considering it for myself in 2020, if not still in 2019! It will give you the chance to see cascading waterfalls, active volcanos, black, green and white sand beaches, historic sites and lush tropical nature. And let's not forget; the spirit of Aloha!
